Bloody hell! These last few weddings have been so emotional, my cup runneth over. Only a few weeks ago we were photographing Victoria & Carl’s wedding at the Chester Doubletree Hilton. Now were at Heaton House farm to photograph Carl’s sister Helen’s wedding to Andrew and by now we are a well-oiled machine and the best of friends. Helen is my ‘Extra’ bride, she’s been booked into my diary far longer than most, and this was the day we’d all been waiting patiently for. This wedding is pure adventure, elegant ‘grown up’ Disney with more fun and excitement than you can shake a stick at.

I needed backup for this one so called on my good friends Sandy & Dave at Pixsmiths, they met with our nervous groom Andrew for some fun & photos, and I braved the Hen House with Rueben the videographer. Helen was surrounded by her bridesmaids and brides-man Terry. (Terry also made the sky-scraper wedding cake, but ill come back to that). Dresses were hung, everything was organised, and it was laid out perfectly for me (superb work Chief!!). a Whirlwind of beautification (they didn’t need much – we were working with a superb gene pool). Then it was time to get dressed and Helen could put on her incredible blush Cinderella gown by Sophia Tolli. She looked absolutely stunning.

Andrews nerves may have been on boil, but he hid it well. With all the amazing girls and brides man leading the way, it was finally Helen’s moment. I held my breath. In she glided down the long aisle, on the arm of her proud dad. Cue tears, cue tissues. If that wasn’t extra enough, Pippin the Owl delivered the wedding rings, and even stayed for a show and tell afterwards. The new Mr & Mrs were welcomed by the Didsbury string quartet playing all manner of Disney delights. A whirlwind of photographs, floating around the incredible grounds (almost lost the veil a couple of times).

We were all welcomed into the deliciously decorated room with each table a Disney adventure of its own. The skyscraper cake! I don’t think I even have the words to do it justice, just look at the photos!. You’re killing it Terry . The speeches had us all laughing and crying and even though she wasn’t here in person, Helen’s mum sure did leave a few signs to show she was there in sprit. You only have to see the sunset to understand. I’m waffling now, running out of space, so here’s the rest of the adventure, sunset, twirls, races, birds of prey, donut wall, cake pops, flying saucers (they were for me), dancing on clouds, sax player. It was awesome, ooh! Quick shout out to Uncle Geoff & Auntie Rosemary, you’re awesome, don’t go changing. Love to Helen & Andrew, may this next adventure be your greatest of all. Lisa x
