Ian & Sara - West Tower Wedding Blog
Ian & Sara are the sweetest couple and I love being around them. We’d already had some fun at the Grappenhall walled garden for their engagement shoot and despite Ian hating having his photograph taken, (who doesn’t!), we still managed to have a bit of fun and captured some beautiful moments. I’ve been so excited to photograph their wedding day, not only is it at the most incredible venue, with a second to none service and the most sumptuous setting, they are also the most fabulous people and I couldn’t wait to share the day with them. I love autumn, the smell in the air, the colour of the turning leaves and the light this time of year is so pretty. Emmylou from Chiaroscuro was assisting me in photographing this wedding and we arrived bright and early to have fun with all the girls whilst they were getting ready.
It was a wonderfully relaxed morning; all the bridesmaids and bride were getting beautified and everything was running to plan. Sara had designed a pretty lilac and plum autumnal colour theme, and the little details they had planned were perfect. The Bouquet Residence from St Helens provided all the venue dressing and floral bouquets and reception room floral arrangements were superb. Natalie Ann Brides provided the beautiful plum coloured strapless bridesmaid gowns with the most gorgeous lace bolero overlays. It was Sara who stole the show, with her classic stunning fitted off the shoulder Ronald Joyce matte satin bridal gown from Romancia. With simple lines, a beaded belt and stunning button detail to the back, Sara looked breath-taking. Even going against her original design and changing her wedding hair last minute, everything worked out perfectly. We had such a giggle the morning of the wedding getting to know all the bridesmaids and Sara’s mum Julie.
Of course, Ian was cool as a cucumber, not stressed or nervous at all and it was wonderful to see. The excitement started to bubble as all the friends and family arrived for the Ceremony, and we were ready. It was such an emotionally charged ceremony and there were a few tears to add to the happiness and joy. The guests were treated to a wonderful performance from Carolina Garcia-Cox who sang and played piano during and after the ceremony. Later in the evening Jesus Martin played three fabulous Saxophone sets.
I can’t tell you just how much I enjoyed spending time with and getting to know all the people that Ian & Sara love most in the world. Mostly, my favourite part was watching Ian & Sara, have their moment, with the sun setting behind them on the greatest day of their lives and seeing just how happy they were and how much they loved each other. Wishing you both so much love, Lisa x
