We are old friends Sean, Eve & I. I met them at Eve sister Megan’s wedding a few years ago. I fell head over heels in love with their family and the bonus is they only live around the corner. Eve is the sweetest, most excitable, Disney loving gorgeous girl and Sean is her prince; You know its going to be magical. I arrived at Steve & Janes to find the family relaxing in the newly revamped garden, it was a little oasis. Always the perfect hosts, there were snacks, drinks and they were steadying themselves for another adventure, and I was along for the ride again.
When I spoke to Eve earlier in the week she was ready to get married then, so I knew she would be ready to run down that aisle into the arms of her guy. It was such a beautiful and relaxed morning and we had so much fun, just how its supposed to be. It all felt so much more real once everyone was dressed to impress. Eve looked absolutely incredible, I knew without a doubt that Seans head would roll down the street when he sees how sensational she looks. Steve, the brides father, not one to break wedding tradition, made me cry again with how emotional he was seeing his little girl. If that didn’t send me over the edge, it was seeing the joy and emotion on Jane & Megans faces as they watched Eve soak up the excitement of the day.
I met the boys at Mere Court, and despite a few nerves, they were ready to rock too. I don’t know about you but I find skipping incredibly therapeutic and the groomsmen did their best to skip out any lurking butterflies. Soon as Eve arrived, the nerves kicked in and all was ready. Finally. The grand room was lit by the early afternoon sunlight and seeing the breath-taking Eve was enough to ensure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house (clench cheeks Steve!). Seeing Sean’s face told me everything. The wedding day was everything these two gorgeous people dreamed of and deserved. We laughed, danced, told funny stories, sang songs, twirled, skipped and loved on each other. As the sun was setting, Eve & Sean were beeped, celebrated, bathed in sunset, ate cake, smoked cigars and sang their hearts out. Thank you two, for all your love and faith in me, I hope I did it justice. Much love and all the happiness on your incredible new adventures. Lisa xx
