Sara & Ian just wanted to be married to each other, plans were made, cancelled, rearranged and sometimes abandoned. After a lengthy 3rd lockdown these two gorgeous people weren’t about to let anything get in the way of their love. The plans grew beautifully from there. First there was no reception, everywhere was closed. Then lots of places opened and we now had the Botanist Private Dining area reserved for their intimate wedding party. Top of the guest list was their furbaby Lily, who was their flower pup; Can you believe she got more love than the poor groom. Poor pooch was exhausted. Ian was showing a few nerves but kept it cool in his fabulous blue tweed suit with contrasting waistcoat. We’d not met before the big day and Sara had told me about her vintage wedding dress and 100% played it down. I watched an absolutely stunning 1950’s vintage bride in her hand-stitched and embroidered tea-length, in breathtaking rose gold blush; Striding with purpose on the arm of her elegantly dressed proud mum. The VIP guests were here and the bride let the groom wait a little for her entrance and boy it was worth it. Ian’s face said a thousand words.

With all the excitement from the guests, the energy lit up the room. My heart was beating fast, I cried, it was beautiful. The new Mr & Mrs made their way into the spring sunshine and were welcomed into the church for refreshments and time to take some photos. The incredible double tiered drip cake by @tasteful_bakes , which I am reliably informed contained peanut butter (Bliss!!! My fave). Before we headed to the reception venue, I asked Sara & Ian if they were brave enough for some photographs on Stockton Heath Swing Bridge. You wouldn’t believe the joy, the car beeps, shouts of well wishes, cars leaving spaces so they didn’t get in the way of the shot, Just sharing all the love and excitement of the moment. It was incredible.

We escaped to The Botanist in Warrington, with their incredible unique décor and equally impressive menus and private dining area, perfect for an intimate wedding, just like this. We got to take some beautiful photographs around the restaurant before everyone sat down for their wedding breakfast feast.

Thank you Sara & Ian for asking me to share your incredible day. I know we only had a couple of hours but it really was magical. I wish you both and Lily, all the love, luck, good health, wealth and happiness your hearts can hold. Lisa x
