Richard & Gemma are genuinely best friends, they do nothing but make each other laugh and they love nothing but being together. It comes as no surprise that they were obviously destined to be together. Gemma isn’t your typical girlie girl, she’ll swerve a dress any chance she’s got and she’s a sports mad, get stuck in, kind of girl. Richard is a sweetheart and funny as hell, the perfect yin to her yang and together I believe they could achieve just about anything. They have hearts of gold and families just as loving and all encompassing as you could hope for. For me, being a part of their day meant everything.
I don’t think anyone was prepared for just how breathtakingly beautiful Gemma looked in her gorgeous fit and flare lace bridal gown with a stunning illusion back from Puure Bridal in Lymm. Richard wept absolute tears of joy watching his girl walk down the aisle on the arm of her proud Dad Steve. They were married at my favourite church, St Elphin’s Parish Church, where some years back Gemma’s mum Diane (or Lady Di – if you know her well) married Stephen; To see their daughter marry in the place they were, meant the world, to all of them. This hallowed place meant so much to the family and it was as glorious and all welcoming as it always is. The bride, bridesmaid’s bouquets and church were decorated with the most incredible floral displays in shades of purple and lilac made by the talented Rachel from La Beau Fleurs. I got to work with one of my recent Brides, Vicky Dubois (a talented photographer and friend) who assisted me in capturing all the love and pure emotion of the day. As well as Rebecca Lawton from Candystripe productions capturing all the moments in video; I love working with all these amazing suppliers who are as passionate and dedicated as any you could hope to have.
With a little help from all those they love most in this world with them, the happy couple made their way to Mere Court Hotel in Knutsford and under the warm summer sun, they showed us exactly what it means to party hard (with a little help from the Irish contingent). I love what I do, more than anything and to share it with such beautiful people makes this so much more than just a job. It makes you part of the family.
So to my new family, the Lears & Clancy’s, the wonderful bridesmaids and ushers, I want to thank each and every one of you, for making this wedding one I will always remember. I want to wish every happiness to Richard & Gemma and a lifetime of love & laughter. With much love, Lisa xx
