Louise & Neil are such a great couple, they’re the kind of people that love their families fiercely, and don’t muck around when it comes to getting things done. They knew they wanted to be married and didn’t want to wait for years and years, after all, what is there to wait for when you know the decision you are making is the right one. So, there is was, within 6 months of getting engaged, they would be married. They plan weddings like I shop and love everything I have little obsessions over so of course we would be the perfect match.
I met the bridal party at her family home and the house was buzzing with excitement, hair and makeup was underway and the bride’s dad Rob was in fine form and keeping the team hydrated and fed. Louise was relaxed and ready to marry the love of her life. Despite the fine rain, everything was going totally to plan. Time flew by and before we knew it was time to make our way to St Georges RC Church in Maghull.
I met up with Neil and his groomsmen at St Georges and the rain was beginning to clear the way for sunshine, which is exactly how I like it. Neil wasn’t showing any signs of nerves; he was so excited to marry his best friend and stood patiently for her arrival. As soon as the bridal cars arrived the rain abated, and we were ready.
The bridesmaids looked so pretty in their flowing chiffon gowns and once they had made their way down the aisle, in came Louise on the arm of her dad Rob. She looked absolutely breath-taking in her fit and flare Ronald Joyce gown and the smile on her face lit up the church like a beacon. It was a beautiful service from Father Kelly and before long Neil & Louise were Mr & Mrs.
The sunshine welcomed the newly married couple like an old friend and the guests spilled into the church grounds full of love and congratulations. I even got to see one of my previous brides (Joanne Quinn) who made the brides and bridesmaids stunning floral bouquets, they were absolute works of art.
On the way to the Titanic Hotel we stopped off at Everton Park for some photographs with the city’s infamous skyline in glorious view. Before long we were off to our final destination, the luxurious Titanic Hotel, set in the age-old docks surrounded by the industry of an age long tradition. A perfect mix of grand and old beauty.
The afternoon was a whirlwind of celebration, speeches food and dancing, and before I left, a stroll with the happy couple amidst some of the incredible landmarks of the city that raised me. Thank you to Neil & Louise, for sharing this incredible and memorable day. I wish you both every happiness in all your days ahead. With Much Love, Lisa x
