I Met Neil and Liz in a chance meeting when I was photographing a kitchen Neil had been working on, he said he was getting married and his job was to find the photographer. I met his beautiful bride to be one evening, and with you’ve been framed on in the background as we were chatting, our bond was made, over howls of laughter. As fate would have it, Liz was also great friends with one of my bestest friends Shirley, so our friendship was meant to be and to be honest, I felt like we’d been mates for absolutely years. Neil and Liz first met each other when Liz was only 17, they dated for a long time but eventually drifted apart. Neil eventually met someone else and went on to have 2 beautiful children. After some years he found himself single again they bumped into each other again by chance and the rest is, as they say, history. So, in age old romance this was a love story that was always meant to be.
I met the happy and relaxed couple at the Hallmark Fir Grove Hotel and I was thrilled to be back at, what is, one of my favourite wedding venues in Warrington. Of course we had blue skies and glorious sunshine, at my weddings we have nothing less. It was a laugh a minute during all the preparations and it really was like being back with old friends, friends you can totally be yourself around and laugh with until your ribs ache.
With all they know and love ready and waiting for the happy couple to finally tie the knot, and with Neil’s son Alfie by his side and Liz’s stepdaughter Ellie, by her side, It was time. Liz absolutely wowed in her incredible vicki Leigh Bridal lace fit and flare gown, looking like absolute perfection, led into the ceremony room by her beautiful bridesmaids. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as Neil and Liz said their ‘I Do’. After walking through a confetti shower created by their friends and family the new Mr & Mrs Sutton were whisked off to the gorgeous Grappenhall Walled Garden for their intimate portrait session.
We partied the afternoon away under blue skies and the hottest day of the year with good food and prosecco, the day couldn’t be any more perfect. As the evening drew near and the band arrived the whole room hit the dancefloor. I managed to steal the couple away to the Latchford swing bridge overlooking the river with a hazy sunset, which rounded this incredible wedding off in the best possible way. I love Neil and Lizzie to bits and I cant wish them enough love, luck health wealth and happiness. They deserve the world. Much Love, Lisa xx
