When Kim met Mike, they both had their ready-made families but together they made the perfect blend, and it was obvious to me from the start she had met her happy ever after. I’ve known Kim since the day she was born (were cousins), as kids we used to spend our Sundays in Liverpool surrounded by family, playing amongst a garden of roses, 54321 chocolate biscuits, and watching the red arrows fly over our grandparents’ garden. I knew Mike was just so perfect for her, and I had no hesitation knowing that he would end up as family eventually.
I was gutted Kim and Mike couldn’t have all the family and friends they’d hoped and planned for to watch them say I do. With them already having a small army of immediate family it didn’t leave much space from the maximum allowed number of guests for all those they know and love. However, after enduring a tough year of lockdown, they forged forward with their plans. Why wait, life is so fleeting. I was so proud of Kim & Mike, Kim had made all the courtyard bunting, the order of service pallets and loads of favours gifts and creative pieces. (I think you must get that from me cuz). So, if you love a rodeo bull, coconut shy, hook a duck and a 99er ice cream then this is the wedding for you. The venue and location were sensational, perfect for a wedding backdrop. I readied myself for a road trip to Norfolk and We were ready to get our ‘wedding on’.
Mike and Kim’s girls were stunning and looked every bit the beautiful bridesmaids. Whilst Johnathan, Kim’s son, was so handsome and so proud to escort his stunning mum down the aisle to a man who loves and cherishes her so deeply. The sun was cracking the flags and my tummy butterflies were on overdrive for my gorgeous family. Mike’s face said it all, and his speech said everything else you didn’t understand about how much he loves Kim. To spend such an incredible day with so many wonderful genuine and beautiful people was everything to me. To share in the joy of their love and their new family made me so happy. Thank you for letting me share your amazing day. I love the bones of you all. Much Love, Lisa x (aka Cuz, Queen, Lia)
