When Nicola was choosing her wedding venue (Village on the Green, Aspull, Wigan) she found an image we had taken on their website that she absolutely fell in love with, and it was that single photo that led to her getting in touch and booking us to share her amazing marriage to the love of her life, Martin. I had the pleasure of photographing all the bridal preparation at Nicola’s parents home, and they are so like my own family that it was almost effortless to blend in and they treated me as wonderful as they did their own friends and family. I’ve never been so well looked after in all my life. It was such a laid back relaxed morning with everything planned and organised to perfection. Like me, Nicola loves lists, so we were like kindred spirits in organisational skills. We’d accounted for everything and as all best plans go, this day flowed smoother than silk. A lot of it has to do with working with other fabulous professional wedding suppliers and we had a treat in working alongside Karen & Alan Greenall at Chapelford Films who were the videographers for the day. This sweet and very emotional wedding day was full of tears of happiness, love and laughter, a couple so deeply in love that you could see it all over their faces, beautiful people, a drunken skeleton (there’s evidence in the photographs), a fun big red bus, gambling, singing and a sunset to die for. Wishing this wonderful couple all the love, luck health wealth and happiness their hearts can hold. And also hoping that Nicola moves everything out of her old bedroom because her mum and dad said I can move in when the adoption goes through ;) Much Love, Lisa x
