Kyle and Hollie fell in love over the Xbox, which is a new one for me, but I’m a sucker for a good romantic love story. These two are a match made in heaven. I met Hollie and her bridesmaids in the bridal suite of the Village Hotel Warrington, with their prosecco and Chambord in full flow and more snacks lined up than you could shake a stick at, which is the best way to roll on a wedding day. Hollie, a self-confessed, non-girlie-girl, surprised the hell out of me with her stunning Grecian chiffon gown with beaded bodice and fine chiffon illusion back. It was so utterly feminine and elegant and complimented the style of the bridesmaid’s claret bridesmaids’ chiffon gowns perfectly.
The boys arrived in their tailored suits and gorgeous blue tweed waistcoats… With Kyle sporting a full tweed suit and bow-tie, he looked fabulous… and a little bit nervous, but with ushers as fun-loving and mischievous as he had, it didn’t surprise me in the slightest. Everybody got ready and before we knew it, the time to say ‘I do’ was here. There is a part of me who loves it when a groom gets emotional when he see’s his bride for the first time. Kyle crumbled like the proverbial digestive before he’d even set eyes on his gorgeous girl; I certainly won’t be judging him, because I cry at every single wedding. It was sweet though.
Despite the tears, nerves and emotion, everyone said the right bits at the right time and before you knew it the new Mr & Mrs Broderick were greeting their guests and celebrating the day away. I laughed my head off when the bride and groom were presented with their chosen wedding breakfast of Pizza. Like Hollie said, ‘I don’t like fussy food and I love pizza… why not’. Absolutely, as a non-conformist myself I had to love and respect that approach.
It was almost like we blinked, and it was time for the happy couple to take to the floor for their first dance. After that the bride and her dad got their Jive on to an old family classic and they twirled around the dancefloor like professionals. It was fabulous. I had such a wonderful time with the most funny and loveliest of people and I was sad to bid them farewell. I want to take this opportunity to wish Kyle and Hollie, all the love, good luck, health, wealth and happiness their hearts can hold, they truly deserve it. Much Love, Lisa xx
