Jessica & Joshua are two laid back fun-loving people who dreamed of a sunny May garden party themed wedding where the only pre-requisite was to laugh, love and dance the day away. Not everyone gets all they dreamed of for their wedding day but these two, got it all, and more.
I had the amazing Vicky Caunce working with me and we met the bridal party at the Cottons Hotel and Spa on the fringes of Knutsford. With all her best friends she met at University travelling far and wide to be by her side, Jessica and the girls had the perfect morning, relaxed and fun, we got to know each other so well. These girls know how to have a good time and had the champagne on ice raring to go. Jess hit the jackpot with her styling, she had chosen the most beautiful summery mauve lace spaghetti strap calf length dresses for her girls with small hand-held posy bouquets with complimentary colour palette of pale pink and lilac roses. I can usually predict the kind of style of dress my brides go for. I’ve not been in this business for 10 years to not have some experience in it. Its very rare I’m surprised, and I LOVED the fact that Jess walked all over my prediction with her peach suede flats with her breath-taking fitted scoop neck with full illusion intricate lace back Grecian heavy silk gown that fit her gorgeous shape to perfection. The lace detail on the sleeves and long train and cathedral length veil just blew my mind. Its probably one of my favourite dresses of 2018. On point for pure demure, elegant style. Such a classic beauty with her waist length strawberry blonde hair flowing over her shoulders, the look was perfection.
We arrived at Leicester Warren Hall in Knutsford under blazing May sunshine to a venue full of all the friends and family Jessica & Joshua love most in this world. In a heavily wood panelled room, romantically illuminated with candles all around, a nervous groom eagerly awaited his bride. Without any nerves Jessica literally floated down the aisle to her husband to be and all went completely to plan. Before we knew it, we were all back in the glorious sunshine drinking mimosa’s and eating waffle cones of every flavour ice cream. The whole wedding spent the afternoon lounging on the grass in the Cheshire sunshine, drinking prosecco and playing lawn games with the children. You couldn’t ask for more, unless there was a fully catered BBQ wedding breakfast… and of course, they had thought of that too. As soon as the lights were dimmed the happy couple cut their Colin the Caterpillar wedding cakes (every celebration Jessica ever had involved Colin the Caterpillar so not having one at her wedding didn’t bear thinking about). Then there was lights and music and the dancefloor was alive. It was wonderful, and the happy couple deserve every joy and happiness in their new married life together. Thank you for letting us share these beautiful moments with you, it was an honour and a privilege. Much Love, Lisa xx
