Lindsay, the queen of craft, a complete fun non-conformist who takes life head on, isn’t your average bride. We’ve been friends since taught my children at school and I was thrilled when she asked me to photograph her & Jonny’s utterly classic yet quirky elopement wedding.
We met at Lindsay’s mums home amidst Lola the cuddly chihuahua and her two nephews, fresh back for the occasion all the way from Australia!! Lindsay had just returned from getting her bridal hair done by the talented Karen Ward, and makeup by Natassja Victoria. I hardly recognised her from day to day at school, she looked incredible. With purple and lilac tones throughout and a soft whimsical bridal look and makeup that was showstopping. Lindsay’s colour theme was inspired by her gorgeous tattoo sleeves, with skyscraper sequin heels and a sensational black wedding gown. It was all hustle and bustle, with everyone dressed and well ahead of schedule.
I left the excitement of the bridal party and met our cool and collected groom Jonny and Lindsay’s Son Jaxon at the local registry office, looking incredibly handsome in their tailored trousers and shirt, with matching purple ties. The rain began to stop, right when we needed it to.
With a dozen of their nearest and dearest all seated and waiting for the brides arrival. The bride, abandoned her umbrella and gathered with her mum, sister and best friend ready to marry the man who swept her off her feet.
Everyone was wowed when the bride was led into the room on her mums proud arm, Jonny’s face said it all. Before long they were Mr & Mrs and we made our way out into sunshine and onto Grappenhall walled garden for our elopement group shots and couples portraits.
Not ones to sit with tradition, our happy couple led their wedding party to their favourite place, Nando’s for some fab food and a chocolate wedding cake made by the talented sister of the bride, Katie. It was a beautiful day and perfect for this gorgeous quirky couple. I want to wish Linsday & Jonny all the happiness and love in their new family adventure. Much Love, Lisa
