I met Jeff and Rebecca through Jeff’s brother John, who was close to his cousin Julie, my best friend. I was made up to be asked to meet up with them and even more thrilled to be chosen to photograph their big day, especially as they had decided on the amazing Colshaw Hall as their venue to celebrate their marriage. I knew it would not disappoint. Jeff & Rebecca are an amazing couple, perfectly suited and they are always on the go, active and always planning their next adventure. They grab life with both hands and I love that ethos. For their wedding day though they wanted pure and simple elegance, with timeless style and panache. Boy did they deliver.
Rebecca wore the most stunning and elegant art deco inspired beaded wedding gown from the Knutsford Wedding Gallery, with a cathedral length veil. All her beautiful bridesmaids wore the most amazing nude-pink sequinned dresses in a variety of styles that suited them perfectly. The morning was filled with champagne, bacon butties and excitement. The brides surprise gift (from her groom) of a ‘hooters’ outfit brought screams of laughter.
The boys were totally relaxed, no nerves, no stress. Just a groom completely confident in knowing the woman he was about to marry was the girl he wanted to share his life with. I just love that. So in the beautiful ceremony hall (despite a little smashed vase incident! – classic John!! Ha ha), with Jeff’s best man playing the piano, the whole wedding party waited the arrival of the beautiful bride.
It was a stunning ceremony, with sunshine streaming through the windows, and a perfect summer day just meant for weddings. The guests made their way over to the main house and garden to enjoy the ‘Pimp your Prosecco’ Bar, snacks and donut wall. We had the awesome Tall toastmaster Stefan making sure everything went to plan and it couldn’t have gone better.
The wedding party danced the night away with ‘Jukebox’ Band on hand to make sure the speakers blasted out all the floor fillers. It truly was wonderful. I want to wish Jeff and Rebecca a wonderful 4 week honeymoon filled with excitement and adventure, and a lifetime of laughter and joy.
