Holly & Toby are such a sweet couple. It happens that the groom is the son of an old school friend and she asked if I could get in touch about photographing their big day. Emma has impeccable taste and it was a huge compliment to have been asked to capture their big day. Sadly one of those pesky covid pings meant they had to move their wedding day forward a couple of weeks but as luck would have it, turns out they had better weather all round.
I arrived at Slaters Country Inn with the bridal party getting glammed up by Sara Dunn Makeup & Beauty & ‘hairscript’ doing the bridal party hair to perfection. Storm clouds were threatening but I was hopeful. The bridesmaids had the most delicate chiffon strappy dresses in Navy, whilst Holly had chosen a stunning delicate and elegant beaded plunge neck chiffon gown, with a thigh high split. The rain threatened to take over the day, but as it turns out, it was all bravado.
Today was finally their day and they deserved it so much. Surrounded by those they love, and even streaming live to the USA, the brides sister still managed to photobomb some fabulous photos (I loved how you were so dressed up!! Looking fabulous). As soon as they were Mr & Mrs, the sun came out and dried up all the rain, and the party really got started. The speeches were celebrated with shots of sambuca and Limoncello and the wedding feast was everything and more.
Since covid came and scattered peoples wedding plans like confetti, its been a tough time, for everybody. The time we we get to spend with our families has become more important than ever. Weddings like Holly & Toby’s have been filled with so much joy and happiness, its been wonderful to be a part of cherished moments like this. Thank you both for sharing your day with me, it was a privilege and an honour. Wishing you both every happiness in your new married life together. Much Love, Lisa x
