I have known Kayleigh for years. I entrusted my greatest creations in her loving care, she worked at the nursery both my kids went to and they absolutely adored her. So, when she told me her and Craig were getting married it was a great honour for her to say to me that she couldn’t have anyone else photograph her wedding. I also got to work with the lovely Kirstie Garlick who assisted with the photography on this gorgeous day and did a wonderful job.
I met the gorgeous bridal party at the fabulous Park royal Hotel in Stretton, it was hard to keep up with all the names, with 2 bridesmaids, 3 flower girls and 3 page boys, a best man and kilts galore. Being a true Scot, the groom Craig and his gorgeous family dressed to impress in their fabulous kilts. Considering this was such a big wedding there was no chaos, just happy people, surrounding each other with love and laughter. Even though there was a little sadness that Kayleigh’s Grandad had passed away and wouldn’t be able to walk her down the aisle, the fact that she was getting married on his birthday and with photographs of him around the room, he was there in spirit with his beautiful granddaughter.
Before we knew it, it was time to Kayleigh to put on ‘The Dress’, the stunning silk princess gown with a sweetheart neckline and lace bolero jacket from ‘Bethany Hannah’ and for her daughter Liberty to put on her flower girls dress (a replica of her mummy’s gown), and for this family to be united in marriage. Kayleigh was led by her page boys, bridesmaids and flower girls and it was wonderful to see so much happiness in one room.
I stole the happy couple away for their intimate portrait session, so they could have a little time together before joining all their friends and family and celebrating in true Scots fashion. After some wonderful speeches we dined on the most beautiful food and raised so many toasts to the happy couple and absent friends. It was so meaningful and beautiful. We danced the night away with Blakes View Band in full force, the dancefloor was crammed.
It was amazing to see my beautiful friend Kayleigh marry the love of her life and to see Craig so happy and completely in love. It was the wedding everybody dreams of. Perfect, meaningful, beautiful and filled with love and joy. I wish this beautiful family all the love and happiness in the world, they truly deserve it. Much Love Lisa x
