Claire & John have to be my most laid-back couple ever, but don’t let that fool you, these two bloody gorgeous people had one motto for their wedding, ‘until death do we party’. It was all about that. Free from conventional portrait shots this wedding was all about ‘rolling up your sleeves and get knee deep on the dancefloor’. Oh my god we did. You were a breath of fresh air, and I got to see my Auntie Kath, a couple of my previous bride and grooms and all your superbly fun and fabulous friends & family.
The only nerves were pre-party ones, and the brides house was a hive of activity. The girls were all busy getting ready, and the dream team of the talented Glow Makeup & the Rapunzel Hair Genius herself Katy Cocoran working their magic. Claire and her daughter Vivienne were the perfect team, I even got a photography assistant with Vivienne and her VTECH super-fast camera. (She totally aced the challenge). Before we knew it Claire was ready, looking breath-taking in her Kenneth Winston dress, and her mum and dad were bowled over with emotion. John & his ushers were a laugh a minute and we got the shots we needed in record time; they took their seats. The bridesmaids arrived looking sensational in their hot pink dresses followed by Claire. Wow, she really did take your breath away, looking so naturally beautiful and elegant.
John’s face lit up when he finally saw his bride. St Elphins was filled to the brim with a rainbow of beautifully dressed people, ready to celebrate. There was tons of cheers, claps and happy tears all round and the new Mr & Mrs. We all headed out to sunshine to shower them with confetti and love. The rest of the day was filled with Girls that mix on Sax, Magician Brad Bennett & The Craicers Band. It was loud, it was fun, and it didn’t stop!!! You know I loved it.
