I met Chris and Louiza through my close friend (and personal hairdresser) Karen. Knowing me as well as she does Karen knew we would be the perfect fit. Louiza & Chris have been together for well over 10 years, from teenage sweethearts to the gorgeous and most perfectly suited couple they are today. They had planned their magnificent wedding to take place at the fabulous, half-timbered, black and white medieval house of Samlesbury Hall, a Grade 1 Listed Building originally built in 1325 as a family home and beautifully restored to its stunning condition today. A magical place for classically decadent wedding. Louiza has beautiful taste and designed her décor to fit within the grandeur of the hall and the rustic and delicate natural woods and textures in and around the building.
Not one to be outshone by the locale, Louiza didn’t disappoint. Looking utterly breath-taking in her Bisous Bridal Wedding Gown and made up to perfection by the wonderful Karen Ward Hair & the uber talented Cheshire Beauty. Louiza was surrounded by those she loved most in the world which is exactly how your wedding day should be. Chris was lucky enough to be loaned an incredible Blue 7 Series BMW for the weekend by his kind employer (BMW), she was an absolute beauty… Even the car key was an onboard computer, the trim had indoor mood lighting, massaging seats and wheels wider than a mini. I tried to borrow those keys later on for a post wedding relaxation but Chris knew better and hid them from me.
Louiza made the short walk from the beautiful gatehouse cottage where she and her bridesmaids got ready and arrived at the Hall fashionably late to a nervous but very excited groom. Then again Chris confessed that Louiza is always late and if she’d been on time he would have been worried! As always, it was worth the wait. With Callum and Abbey leading the way followed by their mum Vicky (chief bridesmaid), Louiza made her entrance on the arm of her proud Mum Jane. It was so wonderful. To watch two people make their vows to one another with such dedication, meaning and conviction, their love should be celebrated because not many people are blessed with finding a love as steadfast and true as theirs.
With smiles as big as Cheshire cats and the nerves finally abated the happy couple led their guests out to the sunshine and the brimming tended gardens were overflowing with life and colour. We were treated to beautiful weather as always and everything was as perfect as wedding days could be. With the help from some of the best wedding suppliers in the business making it so, it was the kind of day every couple dream to have. Great location, amazing food, décor, service and entertained by the best. I loved working with all these incredible suppliers and must give a special mention to each one of them. Thank you to Pat at Quaint Weddings, I loved working with you. Karen Ward Hairdresser, Cheshire Beauty for Makeup, Rebecca’s Bakery for the stunning wedding cake, Dance Floor Couture, Bisous Bridal for the stunning wedding gown, Brides Little Helper for the incredible venue décor, Beryl Cottons for the breath-taking bouquets and corsages, Alistair Grant Saxophonist & Percussionist and last, but no means least, the amazing staff at Samlesbury Hall for helping make Louiza & Chris’s wedding day as magnificent as it was (thank you for the coffees too).
The amazing entertainment provided by Dance Floor Couture, Alistair Grant Saxophonist and the exciting percussionist had the guests partying like they were on holiday in Ibiza, I was sad to go home. But with a belly full of tasty pizza and wedges, my time with the happy couple was over, not before I get to wish them both a lifetime of happiness together, they really are a joy to be around. Sending so much love and best wishes to you both. Thank you for letting me share all the incredible moments from your perfect wedding day. Much Love, Lisa xx
