I’ve known Vicki for over 10 years, I met her at a wedding I was photographing and she was one of the bridesmaids. We would bump into each other now and again and always have a catch-up. In fact Vicki did something for me that I’ve never forgotten. I’m not the kind of person to fall apart in a crisis, but the one time I did, I crumbled like a digestive biscuit and she came running to my rescue and made it all better. Whilst Vicki will tell you it was nothing, to me, it was everything and ive never forgotten her kindness. So fast forward some years and Vicki has found the love of her life, they made little Leo, and she called me to ask me to capture her wedding day. I’d walk over hot coals for that girl so here we are.
The covid pandemonium tried to throw their wedding plans off the path, but these two were meant to be together and before long the final date was agreed and the day was upon us. With a tribe of gorgeous girls ready to celebrate hard, I met them all at the Chester Doubletree Hilton on a super sunny day. It was a hive of activity and energy, the Boys were keeping Carl’s nerves from getting the better of him and the girls were raring to go. Time flew by so fast and it was time for wedding dress number 1!
Carl stood at the top of the aisle in the gorgeous 18th Century Manor house with his grand vaulted ceiling decorated with twinkly lights and filled to the brim with loving friends and family. The heat didn’t help the nerves but we rolled with it. After her bridesmaids had made their entrance it was time for Vicki. On the arm of her proud dad and with her little boy in her arms, Vicki made her way towards the love of her life; looking so elegant and absolutely breath-taking. Carl’s face lit up!
Before long they were husband and wife and I stole the happy couple for some alone time. It was bliss, sunny and so warm, and the Ice Cream was definitely a bonus. This day was spectacular, filled with so much excitement and fun. With twirls, singing waiters, magic tricks, sax players and smoke bombs; I was clearly in my element. I love these two, and all their gorgeous people, we had so much fun. I want to wish Vicki & Carl (and little Leo) all the love, good luck, health, wealth and happiness their gorgeous hearts can hold. They deserve it all. Much Love, Lisa x
