I met Sophie and Andy at a wedding I was shooting, I’m not sure if they’d even set their date at this point, but they said when they did, they were booking me. True to their word, they set the date and booked me there and then. These two are the salt of the earth, sweet, kind, caring and so much fun to be around. It was like we were made for each other. Thanks to the global pandemonium we had several wedding date changes, then Sophie and Andy finally got their big day. Their families are just like mine and we got on like we’d known each other forever. Their friends are like mine, loving, supportive, funny and raised on sarcasm. Its no secret that I loved them all, right from the get-go.
I arrived at Formby Hall Golf Resort and found the girls loving life and rallying around Sophie, helping make the day perfect. Sophie’s mum Michelle (a wedding MUA herself) was in full flow making the girls look even more stunning, with her right-hand girl and best mate Ange on the bridal party hair. The room was filled with love, joy, friendship and the age old insette hairspray holding it all together. It was beautiful. The fellas were a bag of trouble from the off, so you know I loved them all too. Of course, they’d all been to the school of wind-ups and mischief so I could show them how it’s really done. I don’t think we stopped laughing all day.
When I saw stunning Sophie in her breath-taking blush embroidered mori lee gown I knew without hesitation that Andy was toast, if he didn’t cry when she walked down the aisle, I was sure I would. Turns out Andy’s gorgeous heart is as much of a weakling as mine is, he was bowled over with emotion. I cried with him. It was so amazing, exciting and emotional and I loved watching the joy and happiness just wash over everyone. The day got better and better and so full laughter and celebration. If I could bottle and sell that kind of atmosphere, I would be a rich woman indeed.
Thank you to Sophie & Andy, and your beautiful families and friends, for looking after me like you do and treating me like one of your own. I simply love the bones of you all. I wish you every happiness and blessing in your married life together. Thank you for sharing your day with me and helping make my job, the best job in the world. Much Love, Lisa x
