Tim and James have this vibrancy and love for life that is completely infectious. From the day we met I fell in love with their passion and vision for the design of their wedding day and the fact their stunning cottage felt so much like home that it was hard to leave. These two are undeniably in love, head over heels and completely destined to be together. They have a joy and affection that acts like a magnet and draws you to them. I don’t think I’ve ever had a couple plan their wedding with such intricacy, imagination and excitement; the fact that they both have impeccable taste was the icing on the cake for me. The design of their day was an adventure from beginning to end and let me tell you that I was beyond excited just waiting for the day to arrive.
When I talked about this wedding to people (and ill be honest, I talked about it a lot) I said it was pure unadulterated Chanel Ceremony, Beautiful, elegant & stylish, romantic, filled with love and family. With the evening reception kicking off with a spectacular bird cage theme stage show and performance to rival all evening entertainment.
The wedding took place at the incredibly beautiful Grade II Listed 5* Hillbark Hotel on the Wirral. The ceremony in the great hall was all I dreamed of and more. Of course, I cried, but for once at least 25% of the guests joined me so I didn’t feel like such an over emotional waffle as I usually do. The old cliché of ‘you could feel the love in the room’ was never more real for me as I was on this day, the sense of love, family and belonging was magical.
After the typically beautiful and romantic ceremony the guests were treated to cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the sunny garden terrace, before they were seated for the luxurious and decadent wedding breakfast. The speeches were truly emotive, real, honest, beautiful and filled with love and affection, and a fair dose of ‘throw your head back’ laughter.
Then with the guests departing to glamour up for the evening performance there was time for one last rehearsal before the curtain was to rise on the new Mr & Mr and a show to envy all shows. Its very rare for me to be rendered speechless, in fact a lot of people would probably give good money to see me literally and joyfully ‘gobsmacked’. But with James making his transformation into the most breathtaking flame-haired glamourpuss and Tim dressed as our beloved Liberace the happy couple took to the stage, with their incredible talented cast of Showgirls, showmen and delightful Drag Queens. They blew my mind and It took a good three hours to wipe the smile from my face, even then I had to fall asleep in my own bed for that to happen.
