Chris & Lianne Rainford Village Hall Wedding Blog
Ah, the Egan’s. This is the second wonderful wedding I’ve had the pleasure of photographing for this wonderful family. They treat me like one of their own and I absolutely love being around them. They are the epitome of a loving Irish fun-loving family and have a history and legacy that they are incredibly proud of.
I was thrilled when Lianne and Chris asked me to photograph their wedding day, I knew that the company and the day would be truly fantastic. I wasn’t wrong. The design of their big day was everything I’d hoped it would be, full of handmade, personal and meaningful touches that encapsulates the loving families that they are. Chris & Lianne wanted a day that was a little different but completely memorable and fun.
The ceremony would take place at St Albans catholic church, officiated by Canon Christopher. St Albans was the first roman catholic parish of the town and sometimes known as the ‘Mother Church’ of the Catholic’s of Warrington since other parishes have grown out of its foundation. It’s a stunning and beautiful building and so welcoming. I met Chris and the groomsmen here on the morning looking uncharacteristically relaxed for a groom, but like he said, when you know you are marrying your best friend, what is there to worry about. They wore beautiful blue suits by Slaters and each wearing delicate pastel spring coloured ties to compliment the colour scheme perfectly.
Lianne arrived alongside her dad Joe in her Lovebus Wedding Co Camper Van with her 3 beautiful nieces whom were her flower girls. The flower girls wore aqua floral dresses handmade by Lianne’s mum. The bride wore a beautiful lace fit and flare Sophia Tolli dress with a sweetheart neckline and illusion lace overlay, and carried a delicate bouquet of wild flowers with pink roses and white daisies. They were met by the 4 bridesmaids in delicate chiffon fitted dresses in a rainbow of pastel shades to compliment the spring/summer theme. My heart almost burst when I saw the 5 little Paige boys wearing navy shorts, braces and little bow ties, cute would be a complete understatement.
The Wedding Ceremony and Mass was beautiful, Chris looked like the proverbial Cheshire cat when he saw his bride for the first time, and Joe looked so proud escorting his baby girl down the aisle. After a confetti snowstorm and plenty of hugs, kisses, smiles and laughter, the wedding party made its way to the Rainford Village Hall in St Helens for an afternoon tea party wedding reception to rival all others. The Singing Kettle Tearoom had laid the tables with a veritable buffet of epic proportions with every type of sandwich, cake, sausage roll, Wigan pork pie you could think of. The food and décor was divine, almost like a post war tea-dance, with an outstanding performance by Tanya. It was awesome and I sang along with gusto. The room was decorated with little handmade glass jars adorned with lace ribbon and pretty spring flowers and the Egan family milk churn made a cherished appearance all the way from Ireland and was decorated with even more beautiful flowers. Oliver’s Tea Room provided the equally beautiful and rustic buttercream wedding cake and the scent of this stunning cake was absolutely intoxicating.
I fell in love with the Murphy’s and the Egan’s all over again and I’ve never had so much fun in one day. Although the rain clouds and thunder threatened an appearance, I think the love and the fun kept it all at bay and it never rained until I was on my way home. This is a couple who are so completely in love and cherish each other so beautifully and I cannot wish them both enough love, luck, good health, wealth and happiness, they really do deserve it. Much Love, Lisa x
